My husband and I spent time researching different carriers and trying out our friends'. We decided to get the Onya Outback and we are so glad that we did! Our son (currently 3 and a half months old and already 19 lbs) is very curious and active, plus he tends to run warm. We needed a carrier that would be ergonomic but not make him overheat. The Outback is great for that. The material allows more airflow and it doesn't scratch his skin (although I still recommend the Chewie pads for extra softness against baby's face). My husband and I both use the carrier without any issues adjusting the size. I've had back pain with holding our son and using Onya helps a lot. Also, I feel it allows enough movement for him to look around when he is awake but keeps him close when he falls asleep. It was easy to machine wash and it fits easily in my diaper bag. I've also nursed him in it and it is my favorite way to nurse when we aren't at home.

I've tried a few different baby carriers and this is by far the easiest and best!!

We got our Onya in March and have already easily put in over 200 hours in it. I love it for its ease of use. It is comfortable, easily adjusted without needing another pair of hands to help. The Outback also allows for easy airflow so we dont overheat.
It is very easy to nurse privately while in public in the Onya with one simple one-handed adjustment of one side strap.
Easy to wash and fast to dry.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is very active while wearing this carrier. It is very comfortable and easy to move around in sitting or standing (and easy to go from standing to sitting or sitting to standing without needing to make adjustments).
My husband and I both wear our son in this carrier both on our chest and on our backs and the Onya can go between us (he is much bigger than me) easily without any muss or fuss of some of the other carriers.
We havent tried out the safety seat feature yet but I will definitely be back to review that when we do!
Thank you Onya Baby for such an awesome product!

We've bought an Onya online, unseen and untried, and we are very happy with it. Our 15 month old is happy in it while we're doing housework or out bush walking.

The Onya is one of my favorite purchases. When we first got it, she was only 3 months old and it seemed too big for her. It collected dust until she was 6 months old. When I brushed it off and put her in, it was perfect! I love the Outback because it's a more rugged structured carrier. The mesh and nylon breathe beautifully in hot weather (YAY!) My husband even prefers this carrier because it looks more manly. It's super comfortable, breathes well, looks nice, and my daughter loves it.

There are some really great features about the Onya carrier that make it different from other products out there--I love that the straps can be worn in either an "H" shape or an "X" shape across the back. This makes the carrier versatile for multiple users (I love the "H"; my husband loves the "X"). There is a good bit of fabric where baby is carried, so I feel like it is best for bigger/taller kids 20+ lbs, as I think anyone smaller would get a little "lost" inside, but the head and neck support for bigger kids is unmatched compared to other carriers on the market.
The hidden "seat" is a neat feature, that makes this carrier really practical! I will say from experience, that you need to make sure that you either have a child that sits nicely in a chair or you need to make sure that there is something in front of the child to keep them entertained, as the novelty of being up on a chair can be exciting and a great opportunity for kids to climb!
For me, the placement of the shoulder strap tails is a little backwards--I want to pull in the opposite direction to tighten my straps. I also wish that the hood had a way to stay in the pouch (maybe velcro or a snap?)
Overall, this is an awesome carrier for bigger kids, and it is very comfortable for parents!

I absolutely love my outback carrier! So far I have only used the carrier in the front carry position. The dual adjusting straps are fantastic. I can hold my baby with one hand and easily fasten, tighten or loosen the straps with the other hand. The cross strap design on the back make the carrier comfortable for long walks. There is enough space to carry my keys and wallet with the pockets provided.
